[Jon doesn’t always pay attention to gender. Sorry, Dr. Dagys!]
April 16/08
On Monday my mom and dad drove me to the orthodontist. I was waiting for the doctor for a long time. I listened to the iPod at the orthodontist. Then when he came to the office he put me in a dentist chair. I was there for a while. I had a great time. We went back in the car to go home.

“I had a great time” sounds like a big improvement over some past visits. Hope Mum and Dad also remember it that way!
And “orthodontist” is a pretty impressive one for the spelling list:)

I was blown away by ‘veterinarian’, which I almost always have to examine after I type it, like I just did. Yeah, it’s right.

Weeeell, Jon may be glossing over a bit with the “great time” stuff. During the appointment he kept interrupting the boring adults with calls of “is it time to go home yet?” Thank goodness for iPods. But, yes, mere boredom is a vast, vast improvement over some past visits!

As for spelling “orthodontist”, Jon asked me how to spell it two nights ago, so I turned the question back on him, and he spelled it aloud. Too late for the list, he spelt it right–it either goes on a list from his teacher, or because of misspelling. Why test words that are already mastered? 🙂
