On walking the dog this morning we met up with a couple of teenage girls who started doing the usual “oooh he’s so cute!” coos to Photon. Then one of them came up with a comparison that I hadn’t heard before: “He looks like Pokémon!”

Here’s one similarity. Pikachu is scary. Photon is wuvvable. And could take Pikachu in a barfight.
Casting my mind back to our Pokemon phase, I think there was a dog Pokemon which had the same alert, noble stance as Photon,
I looked it up (how quickly one forgets!). Photon looks like arcanine.
Hah! Here’s a picture of Arcanine. Yep, looks more like Photon than Pikachu does. A little hairier though…
I don’t know…she kind of looks like the offspring of Pikachu and Arcanine, no?
