One of these is actually closer to the mark than the others!
Yeah, I do get the sense that at some point everyone focused on a single detail of the understructure and they’ve gone off-track.
I’d also hasten to point out:
1) Jon doesn’t always dress up as a movie character (and it’s always his choice). In the past 6 years, he’s only done that half the time.
2) Any parent who showed “Howard the Duck” to their child should be reported to the Children’s Aid Society immediately.
The little Gopher guy from the Ice Age movies?
To be fair, I didn’t actually suggest it *was* Howard the Duck — it was just the first thing that popped into my head 🙂

Q: has the ‘duck bill’ morphed into some kind of snout? Warewolf? Bloodthirsty fox? Vampire bear?
