(So his editor spiked the story.Tami told Jon that the previous post was not acceptable, and she wanted him not to talk about TV channels. And he had to go back and write it again.)

I like to eat food. Razoto is my favorite. Do you like razoto? I love going to the living room to have play station. My favorite play station game is spyro one. I like to kill spyro. Next I like to play spyro two. I have a favorite book it’s called Sing and Dants. My favorite thing to do with my daddy is to go for a walk. I like to make cookies with my mom.

(So Tami gave Jon a title for creative writing and, given his dedication, everyone just left him alone to produce his work. Little did they know that an hour or two before the digital cable remote had run low on battery power and was acting quite oddly–and it was still on his mind. This is what Jon printed out.)

I like going to watch 23 and the last channel is not working. I love going to watch 61 and I am going to watch 08 and I like going to watch 02 and I love going to watch 20 and I am going to watch 65.

I was having a party with my mom and dad was about to sing happy birthday. I was having cupcakes they were Youme. I like going to the party. I love going to light candols.

My Favorite TV Show

I was seeing the show Milyonair. I was answering the queschen. Mairadith liked the queschen. I love clapping like this when Maradith got the right answer like in Feed the Kitty. What kind of animel is Mark Anthony? She answered a dog.

The Cake

Candles are on the cake. I like having a burthday cake. I love blowing out the candles. I am going to have some burthday cake. I like to have a bight of burthday cake.

I meet the bears. The bears are going to the house. The bears are going to read a book. The bears are going to go outside to go for a walk in the rain. They are going to go outside to play in the playground. They are going to slide down the slide.

[From Jon’s teacher: Jon wrote this without supervision, with only reminders that sentences start with a capital. Three times he wrote a sentence, then was not happy with it, so he’d erase it and write a different one. Sentences I thought were in the story would disappear to be replaced by better ones!]

[Jon is very enthusiastic about his new educational computer game called Math Missions. Among the activities, wandering around town on various transit and (not while) mixing smoothies]
I love going to go on the sub way train to find the crect stop before I poosh go. I put the money in the change box before I poosh go. I like megering 10 cups of juse and 10 cups of booster. First I set the clock to the right time before I poosh go.
